On May 7, 2020, Barbara Anne Stewart’s joyful life was tragically cut short. Barbara was a dedicated Nurse at the Caswell Correctional Center in Blanch, North Carolina, for 27 years. She is survived by her husband, Seasar Stewart who loved her very dearly and remained by her side through thick and thin. Barbara enjoyed her job greatly and was looking forward to her retirement with her husband, supposed to occur in three years.

The world lost Barbara when she was only 57 years old. For a week, she courageously tolerated her pain, believing it to be a bad cold. On April 7th, however, she tested positive for COVID-19, and on April 17, she was admitted to the hospital. Even in her final days, Barbara continued to shine bright as she illuminated the world with a brave and positive attitude.

Barbara’s passion for her job and love for others will not be forgotten. She will be dearly missed.
