Our community is saddened to learn Joseph Lawrence Jones of Lake Oswego, Oregon has died of COVID-19. Joseph was 76 when he passed on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.  

Joseph was the first person incarcerated at Deer Ridge Correctional Institution to die of COVID-19. Making the situation even more distressing, he was scheduled for release on Friday, December 11, 2020, only two days later.

Currently we do not know who his friends and family are. We send them our heartfelt condolences nonetheless. Joseph, may you rest in peace.
