On July 4th, Jimmy Frost passed away at the age of 61. Born in Monticello, Arkansas on April 11, 1959, Jimmy was a hardworking, compassionate man with a sense of humor who devoted his life to his family and the Lord. For much of his life, he made his livelihood working as a truck driver and logger. He enjoyed going hunting with his nephews when they visited from the city — during his funeral service, they said Jimmy “always had a sense of humor, always wanted to joke.” He leaves behind his son Nick, two daughters, Amanda and Amy, wife Lacey, as well as four brothers, three sisters, seven grandchildren, great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.

On March 17th, 2009, Jimmy chose to be baptized and to dedicate the rest of his life to the Lord. His family and the Lord were always most dear to Jimmy. Though he was not able to keep in touch with many family members in the later part of his life, his nephew reminisced, “He was the cornerstone of our family for many years. You knew where you stood with him. He didn’t beat around the bush, he’d tell you right down the middle how it was.”

Jimmy contracted COVID-19 at East Arkansas Regional Unit, where over 600 people incarcerated there have tested positive for the disease. After experiencing symptoms, he was relocated to Baptist Health-North Little Rock, where he passed away. He will be missed dearly by friends and family. May he rest in peace with the Lord.
